We would like to welcome Zach Becker to our Ames, Iowa office! Zach is an Ames native, who just moved back to Iowa from California. His advice for new C21® agents is to “come on board and meet with as many people as you can, whether it be lenders, insurance agents, accountants. Literally, everybody knows more than you and you should soak in that information as fast as you can.”
Welcome to the team, Zach!
What is your name, where are you from, and where do you currently live?
Hi, my name is Zach Becker and I’m from Ames, Iowa, which is where I’m currently living as well. I’ve got an amazing mom, dad, and sister who all live close by and I see on a regular basis forcing them to deal with me despite my continuous shenaniganry. My sister’s an ER Nurse and valedictorian, but I certainly have earned at least second in the family ranking!
When you’re not busy in real estate, what do you enjoy doing?
When I’m not busy in Real Estate I enjoy doing anything and everything outdoors, traveling to surf, snowboard, camp, and climb.
What did you do before you became a Realtor?
Before becoming a Realtor I went to college in Santa Barbara California, and ran a small landscaping company I continue to run today.
Why did you choose C21®?
I chose Century 21® because I felt a sense of respect from everyone I met in the onboarding process that I didn’t expect to encounter being a younger person trying to join the field. And beyond that, I was impressed at how well they’ve streamlined the process of becoming a new agent. You feel as if there is a clear purpose and path at all times when you’re starting!
Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?
In my eyes owning property is one of the biggest and best investments a person can make in their life and having the ability to specialize in making this process making it as smooth and enjoyable as possible is a special situation to be in which I don’t take for granted.
What do you like about the culture here at C21®?
Anyone who can put up with me is my type of person! Century 21® culture is created from high energy funny people, who don’t make the work environment too serious, making it a comfortable place to learn from people who are experts in the industry.
What tools do you find helpful for your business?
Pretty much everything I’ve been introduced me to so far. Dotloop, Contactually, Monday.com, all these online tools have been helpful in keeping my personal and business lives more effective and streamlined. But most importantly, my little black book, without that there would be madness.
What’s your favorite neighborhood in Ames?
I love anywhere on the edge of town or out in the country. I grew up along the edge of town on a little property and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
