Where are you from?
I’m from Minnetonka, MN which is a western suburb of the Twin Cities.
Tell me about your family.
My Husband and I live in Beaverdale and have 2 dogs. My immediate family lives in the Twin Cities and my in-laws are from the central Iowa. I have 2 younger sisters. One of my sister’s lives in CA and is getting married this summer, and the other is as freshman at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.
Hobbies?
Being active outdoors (boating, golfing, biking, running & gardening), attending ISU football/basketball games, and traveling
What did you do before being a Realtor?
After graduating from ISU, I started working at American Equity in the service department for 3 years. I handled service issues over the phone but mostly processed different requests. In my last year at American Equity, I was the administrative assistant for the CMO. I ran different reports and planned meetings onsite and around the country.
What is your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames?
Beaverdale, because the homes have so much character, and I love Beaverdale’s quaint downtown area.
Why did you choose to be a Century 21® agent?
Being new to the real estate industry, I was looking for the company with the best tools to help me start my business. I believe Century 21® goes above and beyond to educate and empower their agents. I want to become successful in my new career with Century 21 in the Des Moines area, and the brokers and trainers have presented me with a path to get there.
What do you like about the culture here at C21®?
Everyone is friendly and willing to help each other. The chili cook off was a fun activity in the office and I’m looking forward to attend the annual awards banquet.
Tell me about the coaching and training you’ve received here at C21®.
I have learned a tremendous amount about building my marketing platform and have already shadowed other C21® agents at open houses. I think learning from the experience of other agents is the best way to prepare myself to be successful.
What tools do you find helpful for your business?
I think Contactually will be a great tool to keep all my contacts in one place and help me manage my customer interaction. Also, being in this business, marketing yourself is extremely important and I think this program with help me do that in an organized and efficient manner.
What do you like about the team meetings/C21® Connect/round table?
I find the team meetings helpful to learn about upcoming listings and go over hot buyers.
Why are you passionate about being a Realtor?
I have always loved working with people and think that real estate marketing is very interesting. Every neighborhood and house is very different and helping someone find their home is an extremely intimate and gratifying process.
