You could say Lisa Vance is an expert when it comes to real estate. She’s worked as a licensed real estate agent in multiple states and is a pro when it comes to moving. “I’ve personally moved 17 times and lived in a lot of places. I can relate to clients in the real estate market!” she said.
We’re excited to announce that Lisa is joining CENTURY 21 Signature Real Estate. She is the newest member of the Kyle Clarkson team and will be working as a Buyer Specialist out of our Ankeny office. Get to know more about Lisa below.
About Lisa Vance:
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from and what’s your family like?
I am from all over, but originally from Iowa. I currently live in Ankeny.
My husband and I are celebrating 30 years of marriage this year. We have raised four children- three boys and one girl. Two of my kids live in Denver, Co., and two live in Dallas, Texas. We have three grandchildren and one due any day now.
What are your hobbies?
I love doing anything outdoors. We enjoy tent camping; my husband’s Jeep has a rooftop tent and it’s amazing. We love to ride our bikes on the trails around Saylorville Lake and the rivers. We enjoy traveling and seeing new places. We’ll hop in the Jeep on a day off and just pick a place we haven’t been to and we call them adventures. We always seem to find hidden gems.
I also enjoy paper crafting, making homemade cards and scrapbooking.
What did you do before becoming a REALTOR®?
I worked mainly in sales. I started out in corporate hotel sales and then worked in marketing for a title company. After a few years of that, I was blessed to stay home with my four children until they graduated from high school.
What is your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames/Cedar Valley/Pella?
I’m still pretty new to the area so I don’t have a favorite neighborhood yet. But we are big foodies and enjoy getting out and exploring the restaurant scene, whether it’s Prairie Trail or downtown.
What areas will you be serving?
I will be serving North Des Moines and Ankeny.
What are your biggest strengths? What can your clients expect from you?
My strengths are my positive attitude, my ability to negotiate contracts and being able to relate to clients in the real estate market because I’ve lived in many markets. I feel like I have a problem-solving mind; I love to troubleshoot.
What my clients can expect from me is full attention when I am with them, professionalism and genuine care about finding them the right house. My transactions will be organized and thorough. I want every second I spend with a client to be useful and valuable. I’m a great time manager as I know everyone’s time is precious.
Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?
I’m passionate about being a REALTOR® because I enjoy every aspect of real estate: remodeling, staging, house hunting or just being a visionary for the potential a house may have. I love being part of the process of finding a home for a first-time homebuyer or helping a family through the emotions of selling the home they raised their family in.
I just really love helping people and this one of the ways I can do it and make a big impact. I don’t just want to be there for these families while they’re buying or selling, I want to be a long-term resource for them in any way I can.
