We’re excited to announce that John Karns-Warren is joining CENTURY 21 Signature Real Estate. He will be working from our Cedar Falls office and serving the Cedar Valley area. Read his interview below to learn more about John!

About John Karns-Warren:

Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from and what’s your family like?

I am from Pyatigorsk, Russia, and currently live in Waterloo, Iowa. I am one of six siblings; we range in age from 30 years old to five years old. Most of my family was born and raised in Iowa. I was adopted when I was four years old.

What are your hobbies?

When I’m not busy with real estate, I enjoy home projects and spending time with family and friends on the water. During the summer, I love being outdoors. My favorite place to go is my friends’ cabin in Clear Lake.

What did you do before becoming a REALTOR®?

Before I was a REALTOR®, I worked in retail and loved it but I have always had a passion for real estate.

What is your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames/Cedar Valley/Pella?

I would have to say my favorite neighborhood is the Prospect Boulevard area in Waterloo because all of the homes are so unique and have so much character to them. They are also some of the older houses in town.

What areas will you be serving?

I will be serving the Cedar Valley area: Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Waverly, Dike, Washburn and surrounding areas.

What are your biggest strengths? What can your clients expect from you?

One of my biggest strengths is my ability to be organized. Clients can expect a clear and timely transaction with me.

Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?

I am very passionate about being a REALTOR® because it has always been an interest of mine and I can’t wait to help others find their properties. The best part about it is helping people find their dream homes, or maybe an investment property, and being that resource for them to be successful. I also just have a huge passion for the art of homes. I am always amazed when I walk into homes and see the character they have.
