Jason Bergan has recently joined our Urbandale office. As a recent Iowa State University graduate and world traveler with a background in property management and leasing, Jason has decided to make the jump into real estate. Jason enjoys the shadowing opportunities that are offered at CENTURY 21 Signature Real Estate, and we are excited to have him on board and watch his business grow. Welcome to the team, Jason!
Where are you from?
I’m from Elkader Iowa
Tell me about your family.
I have two older siblings, a 2 month old nephew, and a lot of cousins.
Hobbies?
I hike, bow hunt, kayak, and read.
What did you do before being a REALTOR®?
I worked in conservation, data analysis, leasing, and property management
What is your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames?
It’s a bit cliche but I really like downtown Des Moines because of all the restaurants and festivals, like the farmer’s market and Oktoberfest.
Why did you choose to be a CENTURY 21 Signature Real Estate agent?
I started at Century 21 as Gina McAndrews’ assistant and really liked the company. Everyone is very friendly and helpful/
What do you like about the culture here at C21®?
Everyone is always sharing what they know and helping each other out. The meetings are a lot more fun than my past company meetings as well which is a nice change.
Tell me about the coaching and training you’ve received here at C21®.
I’ve done some shadowing with the experienced agents and have been able to connect more with the other new agents as well. I prefer a hands on approach so I think the shadowing is the best fit for me but the other on boarding meetings with Angela and Stacey were really helpful too.
What tools do you find helpful for your business?
Contactually (client CRM) is probably my favorite tool so far, it keeps me on track and even has some mass marketing tools.
What do you like about the team meetings/C21® Connect/round table?
They’re very impromptu and I feel like they really focus on the questions we’ve been asking as a team. We adjust as things come up and it feels more like a think tank than a meeting.
What would you like your future clients to know about you?
I come from a leasing background so contracts and networking are nothing new to me. I’m also not quite as young as I look.
Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?
I really like being able to help educate people on big buying decisions. There’s also always something to learn which makes everyday a different experience which I love.
