Jacob is a newly licensed REALTOR® and recent Drake University graduate who is launching his career in real estate. He will serve the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas and we’re excited to have him.

About Jacob Simon:
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from and what’s your family like?
I am from Woodbury, Minnesota but I currently live in downtown Des Moines.
I grew up with two younger siblings: one sister who currently attends Iowa State University and one brother who is finishing up his junior year of high school. My parents, Steve and Kelly, have given me an amazing life and I am very grateful to have such a close family. I try to make it up to Minnesota as often as possible to visit them.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy staying active, watching and playing sports, traveling and hanging out with friends and family.
What did you do before becoming a REALTOR®?
I was a student at Drake University. When I graduated, I got involved with Susan G. Komen® Greater Iowa while studying for my real estate exam.
What is your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames/Cedar Valley/Pella?
Country Club Boulevard in Clive. The homes are absolutely beautiful and the lake provides a great view.
What areas will you be serving?
The Des Moines metro and surrounding suburbs.
What are your biggest strengths? What can your clients expect from you?
I am a researcher and detail-oriented person. I am thoughtful and calm and my clients can expect me to listen well, research properly and get their transaction taken care of in a professional manner.
Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?
Buying or selling a home is a huge decision in someone’s life. The process can be long and frustrating and I am passionate about making that process as smooth as possible for my clients. The ability to be there to help guide a client through this transaction and change in life is what makes me so passionate about real estate.
