Jacob Krull knows just how important empathy is in the world of real estate. “I always want to leave people in a happy place because if I don’t, it won’t just ruin their day. It will ruin mine too,” he said.
Krull is the newest addition to the CENTURY 21® Signature Real Estate team. He’ll be joining our Ankeny family and we’re excited to have him!
About Jacob Krull:
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from and what’s your family like?
I am from Northwood, Iowa which is 2.5 hours north of Des Moines. People know about it because it’s the closest town to the Diamond Joe Casino! We’re only a few miles from the Minnesota border. My parents still up in Northern Iowa and my younger brother is a Naval officer in Florida.
I’ve been married since 2016 to my wonderful wife, Martha. We met in college at UNI and hit it off right away. We have a spaniel mix named Sugar who is a rescue pup from the Animal Rescue League.
In 2018, we were blessed with our greatest gift ever, our daughter Amelia. She’s 16 months and full of pure joy and attitudw. I love every single minute I get to spend with her!
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy many hobbies. I love working out and lifting. When I’m not at the gym, I am either at home watching movies or if my wife and daughter are napping (the norm on the weekends), I play video games on my PS4.
I also like trying as many craft beers as possible, I love football (I’m a lifelong Hawkeyes and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan) and I like collecting sports cards.
What did you do before becoming a REALTOR®?
I worked in a few gyms in Iowa and Minnesota. I really enjoyed meeting people and hearing that they had a good workout with me. After that, I worked for a few years at Hy-Vee and KinderCare then spent the last three years at Wells Fargo working on contacts for auction properties in the Home Lending department.
What drew you to real estate?
I chose real estate because I had such a wonderful experience buying my first home! Our REALTOR® really cared about us and made the whole experience amazing. I want to give other people the same great feeling she gave us and help people in a whole new way.
What are your favorite neighborhoods in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames/Cedar Valley/Pella?
My favorite neighborhood is Beaverdale. I have lived in a few places in Des Moines but nothing quite matches the main hub of Beaverdale. We enjoy the warm, friendly feeling we get walking through the streets in that area. We go on a lot of walks and it’s always nice and quiet when we do.
What areas will you be serving as an agent?
I will serve primarily the Des Moines and Ankeny markets, but I am open to working wherever people need me. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places so I am ready for whatever!
What can your clients expect from you?
My biggest strengths are my empathy and work ethic. When things need to get done, I literally cannot rest until I know it’s been completed or I left it in a good place.
I truly want people to be happy and fulfilled. I want to feel the excitement of first-time homebuyers starting their lives and buying their dream home. I want to feel the relief of sellers who through it would be hard to sell their home and finally doing it. I just want to help people be successful and happy with whatever they’re doing.
