We’re excited to welcome Chris Peterson to the C21® family! He comes to us after a career working in customer service at Delta. The relationship building skills and patience he developed there as a supervisor will serve him well as he works clients in the Des Moines area.
Chris will join our team in Urbandale and we’re excited to have him. Welcome, Chris!
About Chris Peterson:
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from and what’s your family like?
I’m from, and still live in, the Southside of Des Moines. I met my beautiful wife Fiorella while on a mission trip to Peru. She is my inspiration and motivation to become the best “me” possible. She is studying interior design and also teaches Zumba classes. We have been married since July 1st, 2016 and have two “pet babies.” One is a Yorkie named Barry Allen “The Flash” who is the fastest dog in Des Moines. We also have a cat named Peter Parker.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy challenging myself to reach new fitness goals. I go to my wife’s Zumba classes and have learned to “shake it” with the best of them. I also started training at Emerge Academy where I am becoming an Iowan Ninja Warrior completing obstacles I never would have thought possible.
My wife and I enjoy traveling together to countries where we don’t know the language. Her favorite place we visited was Paris and mine was Jerusalem. We like to skip making a plan, get lost, have an adventure and make some lifelong memories.
What did you do before becoming a REALTOR®?
I worked for Unifi representing Delta Air Lines as a Customer Service Supervisor. I oversee the ticket counter, gates, and baggage claim. Travel can be one of the most stressful things for people and I help our passengers through those tough times when things don’t go as planned. When things are going smoothly, I sometimes bring my guitar to work and play music to bring a smile to people’s faces. One of my top priorities is training our team as a whole so we can be prepared for any situation that comes our way.
What drew you to real estate?
I am starting into real estate because people will always be buying and selling houses! It’s something I’ve been thinking through for a while. I really want to dedicate my life to serving and bettering other peoples’ lives. People have described me as being patient, diligent and willing to help them understand the process and get them where they need to go.
So I see real estate as a great avenue for helping people with one of the greatest decisions in their lives. It’s one of the biggest and smartest investments a person can make. Purchasing a house and fixing it up has been such a blessing to me and I want to help others to have a positive and smooth experience with someone who has their best interest in mind. Also, my wife wants to dive into interior design so we are looking to become a super-star team that can help clients who speak English or Spanish.
What is your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames/Cedar Valley/Pella?
We have a sign above our coffee table that says “The best place to be is together.” I believe that 100%, so I can’t say that I have a favorite neighborhood. What’s really important is who you are sharing life with. Wherever you live, make it a home!
What areas will you be serving?
I will be serving the greater Des Moines area and surrounding areas.
What are your biggest strengths? What can your clients expect from you?
I am patient, level-headed, and will listen to what your goals are and help you get there. My clients can expect that I will be there for them every step of the way and that I will put their interests first.
Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?
Being a REALTOR® gives me a great way to connect with people and make a positive life-long impact in their life!
