We’re excited to welcome Brian Geist to our great team of REALTORS® here in Des Moines. Brian is a newly licensed agent, but not new to the industry; he transitioned into being a REALTOR® from a Mortgage Consultation position. Brian is excited to launch his real estate career because he is passionate about people; Brian loves meeting new people, and building and strengthening relationships. What is your name, where are you from, and where do you currently live?
My name is Brian Geist. I was born and raised in Waterloo, moved to Des Moines in the fall of 2011.
Tell me about your family.
I have a great family, my wife Tiffany, our daughter Paxton, and our English Bulldog Hondo. We love to do things together, travel, see family, go to plays or movies meet up with friends for dinner things like that.
When you’re not busy in real estate, what do you enjoy doing?
I love to fish, its something I’ve been doing since I was a kid and still love the feeling of chasing the big one! I have found myself becoming a bookworm as I get older, mainly nonfiction and would say I am somewhat of a car guy.
What did you do before being a REALTOR®?
Prior to becoming an agent, I was a Mortgage Consultant for a large national bank.
What is your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines?
My favorite neighborhood in Des Moines would be North and South of Grand near the Art Center. I love the architecture and styling of that neighborhood.
Why did you choose C21®?
I chose C21® because of the feeling I got when I met the people who are involved here. Its hard to explain a feeling, but when you build a company culture around integrity and client focus it shows.

The coaching is great in that it doesn’t fit a box, more feeds on my strengths and weaknesses.
What tools do you find helpful for your business?
My iPhone! It’s a great tool to keep me connected with my clients at all times in any way they prefer.

Jump in feet first and hit the ground running.
Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?
It gives me the freedom to build a business being customer and client focused, the opposite of shareholder focused. My previous experience forced me to look further into my future and decide where I want to be 5, 10 and many more years from now. At the end of the day, this is a people business and that is what makes me tick. I love to meet new people, build and strengthen relationships and be known to follow through on my word. No matter how fast or wide technology expands there will always be a need for homes and real estate.
