Welcome to the team, Adam!
What is your name, where are you from, and where do you currently live?
My name is Adam Bugbee, I’m from Perry and currently live on an acreage outside of Perry. I have a wife, Halie, who is an ER nurse at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry. We have two daughters, Eleanor(2) and Evelyn (6mo.)
When you’re not busy in real estate, what do you enjoy doing?
My two favorite hobbies were riding my motorcycle and snowboarding, but now my favorite hobbies are whatever makes my kids happy. Even if that means Micky Mouse Marathons.
What did you do before you became a Realtor?
I became licensed almost three years ago. I was working on a home renovation project when I met a realtor in Perry. Her company had an agent move out of state and were looking for someone to join. They extended the offer to me and I was able to get my start as a realtor.
Why did you choose C21®?
I chose Century 21 because of their approach to real estate sales. It’s not about transactions, it’s about relationships. I was extremely impressed by the available support at the company as well as the training to help agents grow their own businesses by building stronger relationships with their clients.
Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?
What I really love about being a realtor is being involved in such a positive life changing event in peoples lives. This is a huge decision for people and being a part of that is very rewarding.
What do you like about the culture here at C21®?
I think what is most admirable about the culture here is that every agent wants to help every other agent grow. We’re not in competition with each other, everyone shares the common goal of helping each other grow a better business by providing their clients an extraordinary service.
What are three words your clients use to describe you?
I think people would describe me as available, trustworthy, and honest. The most frequent compliment that I get from clients is that I didn’t try to sell them on a house, but instead gave my honest assessment of the home in comparison to the price/condition of other homes.
What advice do you have for new agents?
To any new agent I would say don’t get discouraged when deals don’t fall your way. It’s part of the learning process, it takes years to build your business.
What’s your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames?
My favorite area of Des Moines is probably Clive. I really like the designs of all the new homes being built in that area. I also really like the small town feel of Beaverdale. I love all the brick exterior homes full of character and beautiful woodwork in that neighborhood.
