CENTURY 21 Signature Real Estate (C21SRE) is proud to announce that our own Krista Clark was installed as the 2023 President of the Iowa Association of REALTORS® (IAR).
The inaugural ceremony took place on Thursday, October 6, at the River Center in downtown Des Moines. Members of our leadership team and agents were in attendance to support Clark as she and the 2023 IAR leadership team were inaugurated.
“The CENTURY 21 family is incredibly proud to have Krista representing our team and the REALTOR® brand as the IAR president,” said Dylan de Bruin, Co-Owner/Broker of C21SRE. “We appreciate her hard work and passion to raise the bar for agents and the clients we serve.”
Clark has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2007 and specializes in multi-family and retail investment properties. She has been heavily involved in her local and state professional REALTOR® organizations for more than 10 years. She served as President of the Des Moines Area Association of REALTORS® in 2012, served as a Regional Vice President at IAR and as the 2018 NAR YPN Past Chair. Clark also served on Elizabeth Mendenhall’s Enlarged Leadership Team as a Commercial and Business Specialties Liaison for the National Association of REALTORS® in 2018. She was also recognized as one of REALTOR® Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2014 Honorees.
“Krista has always been a champion for REALTORS® and I am thrilled to have her installed as President of our state association!” said Megan Mitchum, REALTOR® with C21SRE and IAR’s 2021 REALTOR® of the Year. “She has a strong passion for homeownership and her involvement on a state level, as well as national, is key to being a changemaker. The IAR is lucky to have Krista as a leader!”
The IAR is responsible for maintaining professional standards and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, offers professional development and licensing education, legal counseling, governmental advocacy and representation and tracks housing statistics in the state. As the IAR President, Clark will oversee the leadership board and regional vice presidents and help guide the IAR’s mission and vision in the coming year.
“I knew Krista for quite a while before joining C21SRE, and her energy and enthusiasm were evident in everything she did,” said Travis Bushaw, Regional Director of Northeast Iowa for C21SRE and 2nd Vice President of IAR. “Not only will she make C21SRE proud, but she’ll make the state of Iowa proud as she becomes the 2023 president of the IAR.”
