Why are you passionate about being a REALTOR®?

My realtor passion is growing fierce!  First, I’m a people person, and a nurturer.  I enjoy helping people, and am a mentor and volunteer in several arenas.  The opportunity to educate and assist with what is often the largest investment one may make in a lifetime is huge!  I’m committed to delivering the value my clients deserve as they consider a real estate venture.  I also happen to love homes of ALL sorts and ages.  I enjoy design and color and the many aesthetic aspects of real estate, which is probably more of a bonus for me, but it feeds my fire!  Ultimately, the opportunity to really connect with people on a level where I’ve been part of a life chapter is quite amazing, I can see myself loving this more than anything I’ve ever done before!

What are three words your clients use to describe you?

Genuine, personable and driven.

Why did you choose C21®?

I chose Century 21 knowing my training would be extensive and thorough, and because of the level of excellence the staff and brokers bring to the table.  My choice will result in value for my clients, I can already tell!

Angela, our success coach, is enthusiastic and well-equipped to teach.  She has an extensive knowledge of the programs and tools C21 offers, and is able to easily guide through system set-ups, as well as give sound advice.   I like the accountability factor, that someone is checking on my progress as I go.  There are many others that have been part of my onboarding process, all of whom are gifted and super helpful.  I find the case study section of our weekly meetings to be priceless – I have learned so much by the transparency of my teammates, and appreciate that our brokers continually strive to educate and promote excellence.

DotLoop is revolutionary!  Zap is like going fishing and seeing the bobber wobble…  Contactually is becoming more and more my ground zero, as far as taming the ever swirling amount of details related to each client and transaction.  I can explain more if needed.

What do you like about the culture here at C21®?

The culture at C21 was the clincher for me as I chose a brokerage.  Obviously we are all in competition for business, yet the level of genuine care we have for each other is easy to feel and see.  Our company gatherings and celebrations are a blast, I love that we have fun together!  The constant training and reminders to run our businesses admirably motivates me to strive to be on my A game, every day.

What advice do you have for new agents?

While you are going through classes and preparing for your licensing, start networking while your schedule is more loose.  I met with lenders and insurance agents,  inspectors, and other business owners to let them know I would be licensed soon, and to learn about their services and products.  I took notes as I sat with them.  Several asked that I come back around after I had my license to drop off business cards and touch base again.  You can jump start several steps ahead of the pack, by staying top of mind while learning valuable information to pass to your clients as you grow your business.

What’s your favorite neighborhood in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames?

I love the Tullamore Lane area of Northwest Ames, the fun new variety of homes in Ankeny’s Prairie Trail, and have long admired the Brown Camp lofts downtown Des Moines.
